New Lee County Law Enforcement Support Organization (LCLESO) Launches Window Sticker Drive
A group of Lee County citizensLee County now has a growing group of citizens who have come-together to provide equipment, training, and other support for the law enforcement officers who serve all of us. The primary fund-raising activity is the sale of rear window stickers for your vehicles, and our WE-FUND POLICE tee shirts, providing you with an opportunity to join LCLESO, and show your personal support of their law enforcement efforts. As its first action, LCLESO has now purchased KENDO, the Giddings Police Department's new K-9 dog specializing in locating drugs, and tracking other scents, plus the training of the K-9’s handler. All Lee County law enforcement agencies will be able to call-upon the new K-9 officer whenever they have the need. Additionally, LCLESO is also providing new uniforms to all deputies of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, who, up until now, have had to buy their own uniforms. The next equipment donations made by LCLESO could, for example, include placing an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in each Lee County patrol vehicle, along with appropriate training. AED’s are used to try to resuscitate folks who are unresponsive, and may have had a heart attack. This would significantly enhance the life-saving capability within the large-footprint of Lee County.Anyone who would like to show their support for Lee County Law Enforcement, and continue to help our officers, constables, and deputies receive more resources to do their job even better, is encouraged to make a donation using the DONATE buttons in this website, or send a check to LCLESO, P.O. Box 1262, Giddings, Texas 78942. All contributions are used 100% to provide Lee County law enforcement with equipment and training. Since IRS approval of LCLESO’s tax exempt status is pending, these donations are not deductible for federal income tax purposes in 2022. Yet. LCLESO is also seeking volunteers to help with fund-raising, grant searching and writing, and other critical activities. If you would like to volunteer with the LCLESO team, then please send an email with your contact information to: Membership@LCLESO.or,g or Reply on the Get involved page of this website.
